The Seven Steps Hand Washing Technique

There are steps to follow when washing your hands. Proper hand washing is not simply wetting, soaping and getting rid of all the suds. It is more than that.

You need to get rid of a large percentage of bacteria in your hands and you can effectively do this by following some simple steps.

These are simple steps you can teach yourself or your children to follow.

PREPARATORY STEP.

Wet hands and apply soap into palm

STEP 1.

Rub palm to palm for 10 to 15 seconds

STEP 2.

Right palm over the back of left palm, vice versa

________________________________

STEP 3.

Rub palm to palm with fingers interlaced

________________________________

STEP 4.

Backs of fingers to opposite palms with fingers interlocked

STEP 5.

Rub right thumb rotationally with left palm, vice versa

________________________________

STEP 6.

Rotational rubbing of right fingertips to palm, vice versa

________________________________

STEP 7.

Rotational rubbing of right wrist by left palm, vice versa

CONCLUDING STEP.

Wash hands with water thoroughly and pat until dry
